Your Joint Preservation Pathway

Image-guided precision—BMAC • PRP • AAM

Orthobiologic treatments we offer:

Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate (BMAC)

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

Autologous Adipose Matrix (AAM)

Common areas we treat:

Keep doing what makes you, you.

For many people, being active isn’t a hobby—it’s part of their identity. Tennis, golf, lifting, running, staying strong for work, or simply keeping up with family…when pain starts taking that away, it can feel like your world gets smaller.

Our goal is to help you explore next-step options that support function and keep you moving—without rushing to surgery when it isn’t necessary and without guessing.

You shouldn’t have to “accept less” if there are reasonable options to consider.

That starts with the right evaluation and an honest candidacy conversation

What We Treat

We frequently see concerns affecting:

  • Shoulder

  • Elbow

  • Hip

  • Knee

  • SI joint/low back

  • Other joints and tendons

  • Not every condition is a fit for orthobiologics. If you’re not a candidate, we’ll explain why and discuss other appropriate options or referrals

Joint and tendon concerns we commonly evaluate

What Makes This Different

A pathway—not a one-off injection

Many patients don’t need “more of the same.” They need:

  • A careful evaluation

  • A clear diagnosis or working diagnosis

  • A structured plan

  • And precise, image-guided treatment when appropriate

Next Steps

A candidacy-first approach (we don’t “force-fit” you into a procedure) and a plan that includes next steps, timelines, and follow-up

And finally, clear communication about what’s realistic, what varies person-to-person, and what outcomes we track

Common “I just want to get back to…” goals we hear

  • “I want to keep playing tennis/pickleball without having to tape and ice every time.”

  • “I want to lift and train again without worrying about my shoulder.”

  • “I want to walk, travel, and do stairs without my knee/hip being the limiting factor.”

  • “I want to sit, stand, and move through the day with fewer flare-ups from my SI/low back region

We’ll talk about your goals first, then map out a plan that fits your condition, your timeline, and your life.

Your Options Ladder

Depending on your history, exam, and imaging, your plan may include:

  • Activity modification, bracing, or targeted rehabilitation guidance

  • Medication recommendations (when appropriate)

  • Standard injection options (when appropriate)

  • Referral coordination (including surgical consultation when needed)

  • If you’re a candidate: image-guided orthobiologic procedures such as:

    • PRP (Platelet-rich plasma)

    • BMAC (Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate)

    • AAM (Autologous Adipose Matrix)

These procedures are individualized. The right option (or no procedure) depends on your specific situation.

How the Pathway Works

  • We review your story, goals, prior treatments, and relevant imaging, and perform a focused exam. When clinically appropriate, diagnostic ultrasound and/or other tests may be used to better evaluate certain issues

  • You’ll leave with a clear plan and recommended next steps. If an orthobiologic option is appropriate, we’ll explain the pros/cons, expected recovery timeline, and what success looks like.

  • If you choose to proceed and you’re a candidate, your procedure is performed with image guidance when appropriate and paired with a practical recovery plan.

  • We track progress and adjust your plan as needed.

Insurance & payment

Consultation/evaluation:

Your medical evaluation/consultation may be billed to insurance just like a specialty clinic visit. Any copays/deductibles are the patient/s responsibility.

Orthobiologic procedures (PRP/BMAC/AAM):

If an orthobiologic procedure is recommended and you decide to proceed, that portion of care is self-pay (cash-pay).

We’ll review pricing, what’s included, and your plan before you commit to any procedure.

Realistic expectations matter

*

Realistic expectations matter *

Our goal is to help you make a well-informed decision and pursue the option that best matches your goals. Results vary from person to person and not all patients are candidates.

We prioritize:

  • Safety and medical appropriateness

  • Clear expectations and timelines

  • Function-first outcomes (what you can do, not just how it feels)

FAQs

Do these procedures replace surgery?

1

Sometimes people pursue orthobiologic options before considering surgery, and some people still ultimately need surgery. We’ll help you understand where you fall on that spectrum and what makes sense for your situation.

How do I know if I’m a candidate?

2

That’s exactly what the consultation is for. Candidacy depends on your history, exam, imaging, and goals.

How many treatments are needed?

3

It depends on the condition and your response. Some people pursue a single procedure; others may benefit from a series or a staged approach. We’ll discuss a plan tailored to you.

What is downtime like?

4

Downtime varies based on the body region, tissue type, and procedure choice. We’ll give you clear pre/post guidance and a realistic timeline.

Does insurance cover PRP/BMAC/AAM?

5

Orthobiologic procedures are self-pay. Your evaluation may be billed to insurance, as well as your follow-up exams, and your diagnostic ultrasound.

What if I’ve already tried PT or injections?

6

That’s common. We’ll review what you’ve already done and help determine what makes sense next.
